Based in Hong Kong and Los Angeles, CASETiFY is a global lifestyle brand that offers smartphone cases and tech accessories that can express their identity. In 2011, the launch of the iPhone inspired Wes Un, co-founder and CEO of CASETiFY. "As a designer, I wanted to create a case that combines the protection and beauty of a smartphone. The case is like a blank canvas. It is a means of expressing individuality, passion and personality through a smartphone case” (Wes Un).
The brand started by customizing the smartphone case with your own photos, and now it is a method to enjoy expressing the unique personality of the user while firmly protecting the smartphone with highly durable materials.
In April this year, the 8th shop in Japan opened in Hiroshima PARCO. It will be the first brick-and-mortar store in China and Shikoku regions.

Hiroshima Toyo Carp Design Limited

In commemoration of the opening of the Hiroshima PARCO store, CASETiFY formed the first team with a Japanese professional baseball team to sell Hiroshima Toyo Carp Design at the Hiroshima PARCO store until the end of November. With the red team color as a motif, a stylish smartphone case is displayed boldly with "Carpboya" and "Sliley" loved by Hiroshima citizens. In addition, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Hello Kitty, we are developing a playful collaboration inspired by snacks lined up at convenience stores.
Mr. Sheashi's uncle is a former Hiroshima Toyo Carp player, Tomoya Sheashi who is currently in charge of scouting. "When I'm in Hiroshima, I'm really supporting Carp through the city so much that I meet people wearing Carp goods at least once a day. It's a very warm baseball team that is loved by the locals. Once upon a time, when there was Carp Thanksgiving, there was a memory that my uncle made me sit on a bench. At that time, I remember that many players loved me. It’s a great place to think about it now.”

The charm of CASETiFY is infinite customization. Sheashi also tried to make an original smartphone case in the world.
"This time, I dared to choose the material that I usually chose and made my own case. I chose a mirror case because I thought it would be very useful when remake it. It's simple, but it's a cool mirror, isn't it? To match the coolness, I tried to design my name in a casual and gorgeous font. There were many types of characters, and the arrangement was changed, so it was very fun. This strap with AirPods is very cute and I fell in love at first sight in the store. The functionality of not losing your earphones is also wonderful.”

Through trial and error, sheather experienced such an experience with herself in New York.
"When I first studied abroad, it was difficult to communicate due to language barriers, so it was difficult to get into everyone's circle. The teacher pointed out that such a tendency to refrain from appearing in the expression of dance. "Riho can really do more." When I heard that word, there was something in me that convinced me. One day, during class, my teacher told me, "Dance alone." At that moment, “Oh!” I was surprised, but the old pro roots revived and said, "I'm embarrassed, but I have to do it if I'm told!" Something like a soul is called [laughs]. I really tried to dance. Then the teacher said, “Why have you been hiding in your pocket all the time?” I was told. I was very happy with that. I thought I had a very good "motivation". I'm still in contact with the teacher and choreographed solo songs."

Mr. Sheashi continues to take on new challenges, such as releasing her first album in July. Finally, I asked him what he was driving while working as an artist.
“The only thing I care about is doing what I want to do.” For me, it’s the worst thing to do. In the past, there was a value that something like the right answer I could do was very narrow, but even if I expanded the range of expression, I really thought of what I could understand, "I want to do" or "I like it" I have a commitment to do only what I can do. In fact, there may be places where it may be better to spread and work in various ways, but when you do it, you have a feeling that you will disappear more and more. Whatever you do, I try to make sure that you are there.”
