MUJI
Candle arrangement with "Xmas Orange"| Event report
2023.12.13
Hello everyone. MUJI Hiroshima Parco.
Christmas is approaching, isn't it?
Hiroshima Parco is also very crowded with customers who came to seek Christmas gifts.
The other day, we invited Yoshitaka Fujimoto, who runs a Fujimoto flower shop in Mihara, to hold a Christmas flower arrangement workshop.
Mandarin oranges are familiar to us living in Setouchi during this winter season.
In far away Canada, oranges have been said to be an important fruit that tells the season for more than 100 years, and "Xmas Orange" = Wenzhou mandarin orange = sacred fruit.
So this time, I was taught how to arrange candles on the theme of Orange.
The flower base is MUJI's "bamboo accessory case".
It is a cute bowl that has the shape of cut oranges in half and is perfect for this theme.
The candle is fixed in the oasis and the green is stabbed.
If you have a base, decorate it.
In Europe, there is a protection against misfortune amulet called "Orange Pomander" made by stabing cloves into citrus and drying them.
This time, we will use it as an example and decorate it with oranges, spices and nuts.
With Mr. Fujimoto's advice, everyone displayed it as they wished.
And everyone has completed a very nice candle arrangement.
When arranging candles, there are many people who do not ignite the candle, saying, "Please decorate the center of the table and light the candles by all means."
If you put on candles, it will be a nicer atmosphere.
I would be happy if you could decorate it at home and enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas.
Thank you very much to everyone who participated in the event.
Yoshitaka Fujimoto holds a flower arrangement workshop every season.
Please look forward to it again next time.
MUJI Hiroshima Parco holds events to interact with local residents.
From now on, fun events will be decided one after another.
Please come and experience the charm of Hiroshima.
